Regular maintenance

Yachts are a symbol of luxury and prestige, but like any other vehicle, they must be regularly serviced and maintained in order to remain functional and have a long service life. Yacht maintenance includes:

  • Washing the yacht after each use is mandatory because salt water is corrosive and can damage the internal parts over time.
  • Regular oil changes. As a general rule, the oil should be changed after approximately 100 hours of yacht use.
  • Maintenance of electrical systems and air conditioning. Checking electrical systems means checking installations and fuses, ensuring the safety of the yacht and preventing possible dangers at sea. Maintenance of the air conditioning system includes replacing the filter, checking the air flow, coolant level and exhaust ducts.
  • Painting the bottom of the yacht needs to be done once a year because salt water easily damages the layers of paint on the surface.
  • A regular annual service to ensure that the yacht's propulsion mechanisms are working properly.

Mechanical repairs

Mechanical repairs include maintenance of engines, electronics, hydraulic systems and other technical parts of the yacht. Engine repairs are crucial, regardless of whether they are diesel or gasoline engines, they are the most important part of the yacht that must be regularly serviced and checked.
The main parts of a yacht's hydraulic systems are: pumps, valves, manifolds, rudders and others that move different parts of the yacht. It is especially necessary to take care of the maintenance of the yacht during the winter months in order to ensure its longevity.
In order for the yacht to be functional, its technical parts must be coordinated with the mechanical, hydraulic, navigation, electrical and safety systems. Key technical parts of the yacht are propellers, generators, main engines, GPS, radars and devices for detecting underwater objects and measuring depth.
Barchetta Blue protects your yacht and guarantees its safety, functionality and longevity.
